Valentine's Sorting Activities, Montessori Practical Life At Home

There are so many wonderful Valentine activities out there to draw inspiration from.
Here are a few things I put together!

This is a silicone muffin tray that I cut in half for a couple of activities.  Here Ava is sorting foam hearts ( also dollar store finds) they fit almost perfectly into the tray.

Here is the other silicone tray and she is using it this time to sort candy hearts with tongs.

She is spooning hearts into this container with lid from the dollar store.  When she puts on the lid it makes a cute shaker - she was very pleased with this discovery.

Sorting again but by tweezing the candies.

I did show this in another post but it's so cute.  The heart ice tray and large plastic hearts (they look just like red heart ice cubes) are both from the dollar store.  She "breaks" them out of the tray and uses tongs to place them again.

This next few are not valentine themed, but I thought I would show them since we are working with them at this time as well.

These are very cute little clothes pins that came in these colors and they match the craft sticks perfectly...both from the dollar store and no painting required awesome!
She clamps them onto their corresponding color stick.

These are apple sauce cups with a foam colored disk glued (hot glue) into the bottom.  These huge buttons are from Micheal's Crafts.  She is sorting them by color right now.

Ava loves to build towers - this is a colour sorting, and building towers activity.  I place one of each colour on the building plate, she sorts and builds the towers by colour.

This is a fun little thing she has been doing.  I bought these large wooden hearts and mixed them in with red blocks for fun!

More tower building fun 💕

Hope you are having fun with your Valentines Day inspired activities!
