Mitten & Sock Matching Game, DIY Wooden Matching Game Montessori At Home

I found these sweet little natural wood mittens and socks at a craft sale for $1 each!
I used scrap book papers and glued them to one side of each sock and mitten and trimmed the edges.

Ready to play!

We have been playing matching and memory matching games.

One Montessori lesson is to place one set of materials (whatever they may be) on one rug, and a second set on a rug across the room. Ask your child to retrieve the pattern needed by memory.

My thought is that when we are finished using them for this purpose, we will drill tiny holes in the tops for ribbon hangers for Christmas tree.

We just love them!
