We paid a visit to Toronto, Ontario last weekend. We went to Black Creek Pioneer Village and the Ontario Science Center.

Every year we visit our favourite local orchards to pick or to buy apples. This fun, was born from a visit to beautiful family owned orchard. They have a sweet little shop filled with baskets of the different varieties of apples that they grow. The shop smells amazing, and it's a treat for the senses all on it's own.

Early Golden Bead Bank Game & The Magic Slide, Montessori Early Math At Home

Today we are playing an early version of the Bank Game, to see this version go here . Xander loves this game! A number is created with your number cards. Your child retrieves the Golden Beads for each place value from your Bank Tray of Golden Beads.

He was so excited about the magic slide and reading the numbers, we went back and forth taking turns. Your number cards are all aligned to the left, and then you slide the cards to align to the right to reveal the number.

He decided he should make all of his answers with his large number cards just to show off the "magic" of the slide 💕

We have had the best time visiting our favourite apple orchard this year and have done some really fun activities.

We had a lot of fun playing and exploring the Life Cycle of an Apple. These cards are free from Montessori for Everyone here. Ava was about two, and loved to match the pictures. We also played memory match with our cards.

This our tray for exploring magnetism. We purchased this super fun kit and added a bunch of great additional materials to explore magnetism. This tray has certainly been one of our children's most favourite activities to explore.
