A Visit To The Apple Orchard, Family Fall Activities At Home

Every year we take a family trip to Mountain Orchards  - originally established in 1932 with the majority of the trees being direct descendants from the original McIntosh tree, first discovered by John McIntosh in Dundela, Ontario, in 1829.

This is an absolutely beautiful property and place to visit!  It is unbelievable how many people travel to visit this orchard.  They have a hay jump for the kids, corn maze, book sales, tether ball, cider donuts to die for, candy apples and tons of wonderful preserves and deserts. Full wash room facilities (very nice for those with little ones), nature trails, wagon rides to and from the orchard and they provide all of this for free! This is an amazing experience for anyone, but it's a very cool family destination.  The kids just love it!

This is a wonderful fall experience that opens the door to countless amazing activities to do at home.
