In Museums With Kids, A Visit to Canadian Museum of Nature

We paid another visit not long ago to the Canadian Museum of Nature to see the Whales Tohorā Exhibit one last time before it moved on.

We actually have a family membership at this museum and LOVE it!!  We spent the majority of this visit on the 4th floor in the Discovery Zone, and in the Bird Gallery.  The Discovery Zone had an amazing Arctic Culture Exhibit.  This is a very hands on gallery where the kids get to handle all kinds of objects, and materials.  They also have a bank of digital microscopes for the kids to check out bone, and many other samples.
The Bird Gallery has a large children's area that is a Wild Life Clinic - setup as a rescue and care centre for birds.  This area has a huge selections of hands on activities...stuffed birds, feeding dishes, cages, egg incubator, x-rays, cabinets, lab coats and a jeep. Tons to do!!!
The Bird Gallery has a collection of 500 specimens!!
